Tours and Tickets

Our office is unable to schedule tours at this time. Due to recent health concerns regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), all White House, U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Supreme Court, and Kennedy Center tours have been temporarily suspended, effective March 12, 2020, and until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience of these measures, which are being taken out of an abundance of caution to protect the health and safety of staff and visitors. 

The following is a list of Washington, DC tours and attractions that are temporarily closed: 

  • White House: White House tours are temproarily suspended. If you had a White House tour scheduled, their tour coordinators will reach out to you on an individual basis letting you know of your tour status.
  • U.S. Capitol Building:  Public tours temporarily suspended through March 31, 2020.  
  • Library of Congress:  Public access temporarily suspended through March 31, 2020.   
  • Bureau of Engraving and Printing:  Public tours temporarily suspended.   
  • U.S. Supreme Court:  Public access temporarily suspended.  
  • FBI:  Public tours temporarily suspended.  
  • Kennedy Center:  Public performances and events temporarily suspended through March 31, 2020  
  • State Department:  Public tours temporarily suspended through April 3, 2020. 
  • Treasury Building:  Public tours temporarily suspended through April 24, 2020. 
  • Ford’s Theatre:  Public access and performances temporarily suspended through April 5, 2020. 
  • Smithsonian Institution:  Public access temporarily suspended effective Saturday, March 14. 
  • National Archives:  Public access temporarily suspended.
  • Arlington Cemetery: Public access temporarily suspended.  
  • Pentagon Building:  Public tours temporarily suspended. 
  • Holocaust Museum:  Public access temporarily suspended through March 29, 2020.

This is a developing situation and availability of tours in the Washington, DC area are subject to change.  We will post additional updates on the availability of tours to this page.

 

All tickets are provided to constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances. For information on sightseeing and attractions, please visit the Washington, DC Tourism Information page.

Please choose three dates everyone in your party is available to tour the White House. Tours are available Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The tours are self-guided.

White House tours may be submitted up to 6 months in advance, but no later than 3 weeks before the requested tour date.

Each person in your tour party must submit security information to the White House via a link they provide.

What are these options?
Constituents who are hard of hearing or use a video phone have the option to choose TDD or VP based on the type of device they are using. This allows our office to respond to them accordingly. The default option "Voice" is a standard audible telephone.
